American government Mafia actively targets the weak: terminal cancer patients, little girls and the homeless

The Federal government of the United States of America has now become no better than a group of racketeering Mafiosos, running a protection racket on the American people.  Of course, they hide behind the veil of “permits” and “city ordinances” in order to hustle American citizens into forking over their hard-earned cash in exchange for protection from so-called authorities.

In reality, the rackets run by police and the IRS are no different than the criminal Mafia operations that have plagued many countries for decades on end.

Italian doctor may have found surprisingly simple cure for Multiple Sclerosis

An Italian doctor has been getting dramatic results with a new type of treatment for Multiple Sclerosis, or MS, which affects up to 2.5 million people worldwide. In an initial study, Dr. Paolo Zamboni took 65 patients with relapsing-remitting MS, performed a simple operation to unblock restricted bloodflow out of the brain - and two years after the surgery, 73% of the patients had no symptoms. Dr. Zamboni's thinking could turn the current understanding of MS on its head, and offer many sufferers a complete cure.

It's generally accepted that there's no cure for MS, only treatments that mitigate the symptoms - but a new way of looking at the disease has opened the door to a simple treatment that is causing radical improvements in a small sample of sufferers.

The BBC cut the feed and the building promptly collapsed twenty minutes later, at 5:20 p.m.

Transferring the discussion here from the comments thread below, what strikes me is the chronology for the BBC World segment:

In Iraq, youngest US troops bore the heaviest toll

Irq war deadIn the years since, the U.S. effort in Iraq has veered from the brink of calamity to the threshold of surprising success. With the remaining U.S. troops now packing to leave, possibly for good, casualties and costs will be tallied one last time.

More elusive is a firm judgment on the net benefit of the American sacrifice, the more than 4,400 dead, the tens of thousands injured and the untold numbers suffering unseen psychological wounds for years to come.

US troops may stay in Afghanistan until 2024

US troops in AfghanistanAmerica and Afghanistan are close to signing a strategic pact which would allow thousands of United States troops to remain in the country until at least 2024, The Daily Telegraph can disclose.

The agreement would allow not only military trainers to stay to build up the Afghan army and police, but also American special forces soldiers and air power to remain. The prospect of such a deal has already been met with anger among Afghanistan’s neighbours including, publicly, Iran and, privately, Pakistan.
