FDA censorship of nutritional science threatens health of all Americans

Nutritional cures exist for nearly every major disease, but the FDA doesn't want you to know about them. So it has censored truthful, scientifically-proven information about these substances in order to keep you ignorant about nutritional cures.

At the same time the FDA is attacking health foods, it openly allows ridiculous health claims on processed dead junk foods. Frito-Lay potato chips, for example, are allowed to carry claims that they are "heart healthy."

Magic mushrooms used to treat terminal cancer patients

in Torrance, found that the drug psilocybin improved the mood of terminal cancer patients and cut their anxiety and depression. The research is believed a first step in repairing the drug’s respectability.

Psilocybin is the active ingredient in “magic mushrooms”, and is classified as an illegal drug in the U.S. In a small placebo-controlled randomized trial, Psilocybin was safe both physiologically and psychologically, according to Charles Grob, MD, of Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, who led the study.

genetically modified salmonThe effort to win federal approval of genetically engineered salmon received a major boost Friday when the Food and Drug Administration released an analysis that deemed the fish safe to eat and unlikely to harm the environment.

AquaBounty Technologies Inc. of Waltham, Mass., has invested more than 14 years and nearly $60 million developing and seeking approval of its AquAdvantage salmon. The company says its fish look and taste like non-engineered North Atlantic salmon, consume up to 25% less food, and reach market weight in half the time.

The shift is occurring, policy analysts and others say, as employers feel more pressure from the weak economy and the threat of even more expensive coverage under the new health care law.

In contrast to past practices of absorbing higher prices, some companies chose this year to keep their costs the same by passing the entire increase in premiums for family coverage onto their workers, according to a new survey released on Thursday by the Kaiser Family Foundation, a nonprofit research group.

Osteoporosis drug 'doubles cancer risk'A drug taken by more than a million people with osteoporosis could double their risk of developing cancer of the oesophagus, according to a study published today. Those who have taken oral bisphosphonates for five years or more are twice as likely to develop the cancer than those who have not, the analysis of medical records found.

Every year almost 8,000 people in Britain are diagnosed with cancer of the oesophagus, or gullet cancer, and about 7,500 people die from it.

Judge refuses to allow pot use in pot case

medical marijuanaA Michigan judge has refused to allow 10 defendants charged with violating the medical marijuana law to smoke pot while awaiting trial. District Court Judge Richard Kuhn rejected a motion Tuesday to modify bond conditions, The Detroit News reported.

Many of the defendants say they need marijuana for pain relief or help with other symptoms.
Police said they found illegal marijuana last week in raids at Everybody's Cafe, a restaurant, and Herbal Remedies, a marijuana dispensary, both in Waterford. A clinic in Ferndale was also searched.
