What does that look like? I mean, these various numbers are tossed around like so many doggie treats, so I thought I'd take Google Sketchup out for a test drive and try to get a sense of what exactly a trillion dollars looks like.
We'll start with a $100 dollar bill. Currently the largest U.S. denomination in general circulation. Most everyone has seen them, slighty fewer have owned them. Guaranteed to make friends wherever they go.

DND, RCMP mum on UFO mystery
People who saw a missile-like object soaring through the sky over a small rural community in Newfoundland Monday night are getting no answers about what it was, although police say they'd gotten to the bottom of the mystery.
Darlene Stewart spotted the object while taking pictures of the sunset over Harbour Mille, a community of about 200 residents on the south coast of the province. She says she started snapping photos.
Over 200 poisoned with 'holy water' from wells
Believers take water from churches on January 19. The Orthodox Church celebrates the baptism of Christ, or Epiphany, when water is believed to become holy and have healing properties. The water sanctified in churches is often stored by believers for long periods.
Many believe any water, even from the taps from the kitchen sink, poured or bottled by Christians on Epiphany becomes holy.
TVNL Comment: How do people believe in this silliness? The water becomes "holy?" Are humans that simple minded as to believe in these fairy tales?
Vatican bank charged with money-laundering
The allegation of the Vatican bank's financial corruption has been made by an Italian magazine that pointed to the financial institute's purported involvement in stealth fiscal transactions —via several accounts —with Italy's UniCredit Bank, Russia Today television network quoted the Panorama magazine as reporting.
“This corruption is continuing on a regular basis in the Vatican,” claimed Janathan Levy, a lawyer familiar with the bank.
70-year gag on Kelly death evidence
Evidence relating to the death of Government weapons inspector David Kelly is to be kept secret for 70 years, it has been reported.
A highly unusual ruling by Lord Hutton, who chaired the inquiry into Dr Kelly's death, means medical records including the post-mortem report will remain classified until after all those with a direct interest in the case are dead, the Mail on Sunday reported.
TVNL Comment: Gag orders are meant to protect the guilty. This seems to be obvious in almost every case from the JFK assassination to the Sibel Edmonds case. And the guilty are usually people in government.
US to seek world cyber crackdown after Google China row
The US is calling for tough action against people and states that carry out cyber attacks, following an alleged attack on search giant Google in China.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will say in a speech an attack on a nation's networks is "an attack on all".
Google has threatened to quit China, saying hackers tried to infiltrate its software coding and e-mail accounts of Chinese human rights activists.
