A Mount Union pastor has been placed on leave after 30-year-old allegations of sexual misconduct with minors in Cambria County surfaced on Friday.

Rev. George Koharchik, 63, Pastor of the Saint Catherine of Siena Parish in Mount Union has been removed from the active ministry, according to a press release from the Altoona-Johnstown Diocese. According to the Most Rev. Mark Bartchak, Bishop of the Altoona-Johnstown Diocese, Koharchik will not be permitted to function as a priest and "will reside at a place where he has no contact with children."

Rep. Steve King, one of the most staunchly conservative members of the House, was one of the few Republicans who did not strongly condemn Rep. Todd Akin Monday for his remarks regarding pregnancy and rape. King also signaled why — he might agree with parts of Akin’s assertion.

King told an Iowa reporter he’s never heard of a child getting pregnant from statutory rape or incest.

A noted 1960s San Francisco-area radical who provided guns and training to the Black Panthers was an FBI informant, according to the Center for Investigative Reporting.

In addition to spying on the Panthers since their founding in Oakland, Richard Masato Aoki also fed the feds information about the Communist Party, Socialist Workers Party and its Young Socialist Alliance, CIR says, citing the FBI agent who recruited Aoki and agency documents.

A man has come forward alleging he saw Jerry Sandusky and a prominent Penn State University donor sexually abusing two boys together aboard a private plane, it was claimed on Monday.

Until now, authorities have believed that Sandusky was a lone abuser. The newest allegations threaten bring out more horrifying revelations about sexual abuse surrounding the once-prestigious college athletics program.
